2012 The Stones Speak Syrah (Library)

The Stones Speak is an exceptional example of the unique character of wine grown in the very cobbly soils of The Rocks District. The aromas of this wine remind me of walking into a delicatessen…olive tapenade, smoked salts, and prosciutto…most definitely a savory wine. The fleshy blackberry fruit flavors combine seamlessly with delicious briny, smoked meat, black pepper, herbs and liquid rock. It is aging beautifully with a plush structure and long, pleasurable finish.
